Remi Cara was the winner of the Roc Night, the opening tour of the Roc d'Ardenne Trophy. Cara beat fellow Belgian Kevin Van Hoovels and France's Maxime Latourte.

At Roc d’Ardenne Friday night is traditionally Roc Night, where mountainbikers have to make their way through the dark with just a bike lamp. Participants had the choice between the competitive Roc Night and the calmer non-competitive Rando Roc Night. Both events shared the same 27.5 kilometre course with over 600 altitude metres.

Roc Night was won by Cara. He shared the podium in Houffalize with Van Hoovels and Latourte. Van Hoovels is the first leader in the Roc Trophy, followed by Latourte and Adrien Guilmin. The women’s race was won by Fanny Van Maanen ahead of Mandie James and Audrey Becco.

The toughest events of Roc d’Ardenne are planned on Saturday and Sunday with the nearly 60 kilometre long Roc d’Ardenne followed by an 80km mountainbike marathon on Sunday.
