The organization will provide technical assistance at the MAVIC stand on the Place de l’Eglise and technical support along the course. This support includes help with standard issues such as adjusting gears, replacing a derailleur or brake cable, lubricating the chain, checking tire and fork pressure, truing a wheel, adjusting clipless pedals, etc.
Thorough Check-Up Before the Roc
We therefore strongly recommend that all participants have their bike thoroughly inspected by a mechanic before participating in the Roc d’Ardenne. Be sure to take a spare set of brake pads with you and possibly a new derailleur hanger (a pad on which the rear derailleur is mounted). Our technicians know from experience that in the event of a breakage, this part will probably no longer be available in the local bicycle shop. Moreover, there are hundreds of versions of these parts and they do not have each of them available.
The shop “Houffa Bike” (Avenue de la Gare 23, 6660 Houffalize / +32 498 36 34 14) will also be open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Here you can buy small equipment or have your bike repaired.
One mountain biker is worth two…
