Right after the start you will get to warm up the legs very quickly, with most tours starting with the ascent of the Rue Saint Roch, known by road cyclists from Liège-Bastogne-Liège and the La Chouffe Classic. We?re turning right on the top for the first of many technical downhill sections.
Across the valley of the Ourthe
The river Ourthe twists and turns through the course of Roc d?Ardenne like a beacon. Participants on the Roc Marathon & Roc d?Ardenne will respectively cross the river six and four times! With its many different faces the Ourthe valley will introduce you to the well-known recipe of this three-day mountainbike festival: constant climbing and descending! All courses were finetuned this year, taking on board comments from local bikers. They managed to find even more single-tracks and added a beautiful new passage to the Roc around La Ferme au Pont. The Roc Night and Rando Roc Gourmand courses were also heavily revised to make them a lot more attractive.
The final
The wonderful ?Passerelle de l?Ermitage? signals the beginning of the grand finale for all courses, followed by the last climb to La Roche Plate. Get ready for the massive downhill stretch of Sertomont, regardless of the distance you?ve completed. At the church of Houffalize you will finally get to see the finish line.
Fancy taking part? Then don?t wait too long to sign up because space is limited!
Good luck with your preparations, see you on Friday 27 April in Houffalize!
